1. General Provisions
1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of digital content (e-books) offered through the website oscarlorenz.com, owned and operated by UNIRANK – Polish University Platform.
1.2 These terms apply to all users making a purchase via the store, whether residing in the European Union, the United States, or elsewhere.
1.3 The purchaser is referred to as the Customer, and the vendor as the Seller.
2. Nature of Goods
2.1 The products offered are digital content in the form of e-books (PDF, EPUB, or MOBI formats), not supplied on a tangible medium.
2.2 After purchase, Customers receive a download link or direct access to the file via email or user panel.
3. Conclusion of Contract
3.1 A legally binding contract is concluded at the moment the Customer completes payment and receives order confirmation by email.
3.2 Prices are listed in gross amounts and include applicable VAT (if required by law based on the Customer’s location).
3.3 The Seller reserves the right to reject or cancel an order in cases of technical error, suspected fraud, or violation of these Terms.
4. No Right of Withdrawal (EU and US Law)
4.1 In accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, as amended by Directive (EU) 2019/770, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content once the download or streaming has begun, provided the Customer has given prior consent and acknowledgment of losing that right.
4.2 By completing the order and ticking the checkbox before payment, the Customer explicitly:
– agrees to immediate delivery of the digital content,
– acknowledges the loss of the statutory right of withdrawal upon the start of download.
4.3 Once access to the file is provided, the Customer is no longer entitled to a refund or cancellation, regardless of jurisdiction.
4.4 This clause is enforceable under both EU and US consumer protection laws, provided the policy is clearly disclosed (which it is here).
5. Refunds and Complaints
5.1 As a general rule, no refunds are offered after the digital product has been made available for download.
5.2 If the file is defective (e.g. corrupted, fails to open), the Customer must notify the Seller within 7 days of purchase via email.
5.3 In the case of proven technical failure, the Seller may offer:
– a replacement copy,
– or a partial/full refund, at its sole discretion.
5.4 This policy complies with EU directive on digital goods and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act in the US.
5.5 Dissatisfaction with the content or subjective quality does not constitute grounds for a refund.
6. Customer Responsibilities
6.1 The Customer is responsible for ensuring a valid email address and stable internet connection.
6.2 Purchased e-books are for personal use only.
6.3 It is strictly forbidden to reproduce, distribute, resell, or publicly share any part of the purchased files.
6.4 Violation of copyright may lead to civil and criminal liability under applicable laws in both the EU and US.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 All content sold on this website is the intellectual property of Oscar Lorenz and/or UNIRANK – Polish University Platform.
7.2 No part of any e-book may be copied, adapted, or used commercially without prior written consent from the copyright holder.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 The Seller is not liable for temporary disruptions in access due to technical failures beyond its control.
8.2 Liability for any damages is limited to the purchase price of the product.
8.3 The Seller is not liable for indirect or incidental damages unless required by mandatory consumer protection laws.
9. Data Protection
9.1 Personal data is processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable US privacy standards (including CCPA, where applicable).

10. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
10.1 For Customers residing in the European Union, these Terms are governed by Polish law, and disputes may be submitted to competent Polish courts or to EU ODR platforms.
10.2 For Customers residing in the United States, applicable state and federal consumer laws apply in addition to these Terms. Disputes may be resolved through arbitration or local courts, depending on applicable jurisdiction.
10.3 By using this website, the Customer consents to this dual framework.
11. Final Provisions
11.1 The Seller reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, provided that the Customer is notified in advance.
11.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
11.3 The Terms & Conditions are made available in English and accepted upon finalizing any order.
